dearbennichols asked: Just want you to know I love what you do here at FYBN. I've never told you this, but FYBN inspired me to start DBN. It's true! I really appreciated the fact that you were so shamelessly passionate about Ben & Lucero, & I say that with respect! SO MANY PEOPLE are "too cool" to be fans/super-fans, but seriously, what the fuck is wrong with showing anyone you care to (in our cases, the world of the interwebs) how much you are passionate about something - ANYTHING? I feel sorry for folks like that.

Well thanks so much dear! It really means a lot. Honestly, for a while now, I’ve thought about just getting rid of FYBN. We’re the only 2 Lucero blogs that consistently (maybe obsessively) post and we post A LOT of the same things. I often wonder if our followers ever get annoyed by that? But then I also remember that while you and I are so similar in our love for the band and the boys (much like our followers as well), we also have different experiences with them, different reasons why we love them so, and why the music has touched us in such different ways. And that’s alright by me! 

I do feel sorry for people who lack such passion for things. I’m certainly not ashamed of my obsession. If it weren’t for the super fans, Lucero may not have gotten as far as they have. It’s hard when you’re a band who wants to stick to your convictions and not do videos for MTV and all that fancy media crap. Essentially it’s their hard work and our devotion that has put them where they are and I just can’t seem to find any shame in that! :)
